Edge protection & scaffolding
Health and Safety is crucial when it comes to protecting our staff, customers, and ensuring others remain safe in the areas we work in. Roofcare works in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Roofcare Ltd have their very own edge fall protection, Edgecare Ltd. This mandatory safety requirement from Worksafe NZ provides a barrier around the perimeter of the roofline to keep our roofers safe, isolating and minimising the risk of any falls from the surface whilst carrying out the roofing works.
If this is not practicable, then we will use scaffolding or platforms where required. A safety harness may be required in addition to edge protection, or in situations where edge protection is not required.

Edge Protection
Guard rails installed around the roof perimeter. Our default for restoration, re-roof and major repair jobs.
Scaffolding / Platforms
Used where edge protection isn't practicable, or where the job needs a stable working platform at multiple levels.
Safety Harness
Required in addition to edge protection on some jobs, or as the primary safety control where edge protection isn't required.
